I wanted to add a little more to this character so I decided to turn this Sculpt into a half body Sculpt instead of just a head and shoulder bust. Still in the early stages of sculpting with basic body forms and no posing yet. I will hopefully 3d print this one out when it’s finished. Created in SculptGL and Zbrush.
Here is the print of the Brainy Alien. Printed at a resolution of 0.1 mm at a height of 10cm in PLA.
A concept idea of a woodland sprite incorporating elements of the woodland. The spikes on the head are based on the case of a concker seed. Created in 123D Creature with detail and making model print ready in Zbrush.
Originaly created in 123D Creature with clean up and detail added in Zbrush. Printed at 0.1mm resolution at a height of 11cm. Due to printer being faulty the model is not the best it could be. But I think it came out fairly nicely.
Slithe the mutant leader from the original ThunderCats. Originaly modeled in 123D Creature. Zbrush was used to add the finer details, stand and clean-up. Meshmixer was used again for the support struts. Meshmixer gives you the ability to automatically add supports or add them individually for better control. So far Meshmixer is my choice for creating supports.
Original model created in 123D Creature with texture map.
Another print, this time the reptile guard from January. Original model created in 123D Creature. Cleaned up and posed in Zbrush. Printed at a resolution of 0.1mm and took 5 hours to print on the Ultimaker 2.
It still needs some clean up to get rid of the plastic bumps.
Another 3D Print, this time an Alien model I created in 123D Creature. Cleaned up and posed in Zbrush. Printed at 0.1 mm, 20% infill and with a print time of 10 hours.
Meshmixer was used to create support structure for the overhangs. Two prints created so far with Meshmixer support which creates quite clean areas when removed.
