Star Wars 40th Anniversary Fan Exhibit

Today is the 40th anniversary of the premiere of Star Wars A New Hope. So here is a  selection of some of the Star Wars characters I have sculpted over the last few years.

Sketchfab models are best viewed on a PC or MAC for the correct lighting.

Seeing that it’s May 4th, a Star Wars post.

Darth Maul created in 123D Creature and printed on the Ultimaker 2. Detail resolution of 0.1mm, using Ultimaker blue PLA and stands 10 cm tall. No big changes from the 123D Creature model apart from clean up and stand. Due to print errors the model has had a little sanding.

Well I finally took the plunge and bought an Ultimaker 2. It is a very smart looking printer. So far I have only created three small prints, so there is still a lot of learning and tinkering to do to get the best out of the machine. So far I am impressed. He looks better in the flesh, you don’t notice the print lines so much.

Just a long wait now for a Star Trek capable version.

Yoda bust created in 123D Creature, Meshmixer used for the ear supports, posing, clean up and stand created in Zbrush.
