Just testing an old model I sculpted on the iPad in Blender 2.8. Slightly tweaked the cloak, basic sub-surface scattering and bump using the diffuse texture. Added new lighting and rendered at a low quality.

Took a break away from Yoda for a while and returned with fresher eyes. Adjusted the face proportions again with a little tweaking to the body. Still in symmetrical sculpting.
Small Update. Added low detail feet and body proportion adjustments.
More adjustments to Yoda’s head and other small additions. All Created in Blender 2.8 beta. Rendered using realtime EEVEE .
Spent a few hours on and off adjusting his head and adding a temporary body. Primarily working on the front of the head. Will either sculpt the robe or use the cloth dynamics.
I’m finding better reference photographs which I think is helping. Big changes to the head shape, scale and details. I would definitely like to get the whole body of Yoda modelled, textured and rendered in Blender. Still early days as Blender is still new to me.
This wasn’t going to be a model I was going to continue with. It was just a test sphere Sculpt in Blender that I kept tinkering with. So now I will continue with it.
A little bit of changing the head shape and angles.
A small update. About another hour and half sculpting. Changed the head shape quite a bit and made the eyes slightly smaller. I still haven’t really sculpted the back of the head yet.
I’m really liking how quick you can change from Sculpt lighting to rendered lighting. It helps when comparing the Sculpt to a photo.
I’ve pulled the proportions around and added a little more detail. Looking back at the original Yoda I sculpted in Sculpt+ I can clearly see things aren’t right with it.
Spent just under an hour adding a little more detail and trying out surface materials and rendering settings in Blender.
So far I’m liking Blender and probably won’t bother updating Lightwave 3d.
